Day 6: Kassel, Gottingen (Germany)

Well, today's weather was quite grim (Grimm! HA! Sorry, Christina joke). Despite the rain, we saw a lot and stayed quite warm, thanks to a few vigorous hikes.

We began our day touring Kassel's Wilhelmshohe palace and museum followed by the Hercules monument.

Next stop: Goettingen, where we saw the Ganseliesel (little goose girl) statue and partook in some soft pretzels - something that has been on my to-do list since we arrived.

The benefit of being here in the offseason is first, actually getting here, and second, not being surrounded by tourists. The downside of the offseason is that everything seems to be under construction, getting ready for said tourists. Nonetheless, we're still enjoying the sights. Our long day ends in Bremen where we will pick up again tomorrow.
